I had a 1999 CBR600F4, bought it new. I had taken the MSF course and all that too. I was a vary good, cautious rider, and I often rode with guys with many more years experience who were impressed by my skills. However, I had almost a dozen near-accidents in 2 summers. Remember, any one of those accidents (minor in a car) would probably have put me out of work, maybe permanently. I sold the CBR to get money for more mods for the Z, and I don't miss it a bit. Motorcycles are a lot of fun, but not worth the risk IMO, especially a crotch rocket. I found myself pushing the bike just a little bit farther each time I got on it, and I knew it was only a matter of time till something bad happened.
